Fall into Autumn
There is a strange misconception over here that Americans have never heard this word before. People will say to me "Autumn . . ." and then hastily add ". . . or as you would say 'Fall'"

in which I meet a large buck deer
This fine fellow was hanging out in a derelict walled garden on the below mentioned manor house estate. I have no idea what he was doing there.

how i spent my summer vacation
The National Bar
(JB thinks this entry's title makes it sound as though I spent my Summer in an empty bar, so let me clarify: I spent my Summer assisting him with some of the design decisions on this new bar/cafe)

Hello there gentle readers.
This blog started out many years ago as a fashion blog (hence the name). Well, to be blunt, I really don't want to be taking pictures of myself anymore. I just finished reading an article about "selfies" and how to take them and which models and fashion bloggers take the best ones and me (ever the contrarian) decided never to take another picture of myself again. Obviously this is a bit of a hyperbolic statement, but for the purposes of this blog I think it's time to take a break from myself as it were.
Several of you have been asking me for updates on my new life in the Belfast countryside and I need some sort of inducement to get my photography skill up to snuff, so for the moment I'm turning my lens on the outside world. Enjoy!
(ps. I've posted some of my backdated pictures below)

The proper way to eat fish & chips
Step 1 - Find yourself a UK seaside town (I have chosen Bangor NI). Sunny weather is optional but a real plus.
Step 2 - Your chippy's clientele should be comprised mostly of locals. There should be at least one couple of pensioners in line.
Step 3 - Order yourself a "cod supper". Yes to salt and vinegar.
Step 4 - Find a spot by the water's edge and enjoy your meal with a loved one.

Hello there gentle readers (and at this point, an optimistic guess would put my readership at 3 people). Anyway, at the moment there's no point apologizing for my frequent absences of late, because I probably won't be posting much for the next month either. Why? Well, if you must know, Garment Thread HQ will once again be relocating (across the waters this time) and that coupled with working two jobs has left me with very little energy to devote to this humble blog. So let's make a date to meet up in July at my new European digs shall we? In the meantime here are a few snaps I've been keeping from you this month.

Much in the same way that my collection of statement necklaces has exploded since I began working at a certain store, my collection of rompers has doubled. To be fair, I only owned two rompers before starting this job, so doubling the collection wasn't very hard. This got major compliments from my coworkers, most of whom apparently didn't think much of this particular item before I wore it today.
